Original Art for the Collected Home
Charlotte “Charlie” Jo Tanner is a Dallas-based artist whose abstract botanical and landscape-inspired paintings celebrate color, memory, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
Originally from Orange County, California, Charlie earned her degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama. Her design background continues to shape the way she approaches each painting, considering not only the work itself, but how it will live within a room and become part of the life around it.
Her work draws from the places that have shaped her: her grandmother’s garden in Newport Beach, the landscapes of Southern California, her years in the South, travels throughout Europe, and the small, beautiful details she notices in everyday life. Layered color, expressive movement, and a sense of joyful ease run throughout her practice.
Charlie began selling her artwork in 2014 and established Charlie Jo Designs + Fine Art after moving to Dallas in 2023. Her original paintings now live in homes across the United States and have been featured with DFW Textiles, Galleria Dallas, and Paloma & Co. in Houston.
Guided by her faith, Charlie sees creating as both a gift and a way to celebrate the beauty God has placed in the world. She hopes each painting encourages its collector to slow down, notice the beauty around them, and choose pieces that make a home feel deeply personal.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”Romans 8:28
